Cranbrook Art Museum, Archives Inspire “History of Architecture” Students

This semester, students in Pam German’s History of American Architecture course take on individual projects highlighting artists and designers connected to Cranbrook. Using the resources of Cranbrook Art Museum and Archives, students research and tell the stories of luminaries such as Eero Saarinen, Francis Schust Knoll, Ralph Rapson, and Charles & Ray Eames. The projects culminate in presentations and 3D models made in the Booth’s Garage maker space with the guidance of Kathy Sinclair. Students enjoy the opportunity to work outside of the classroom and to bring great Cranbrook works to life.
