Nick Andersen ’08 was a powerhouse of intellect, creativity, and leadership at Cranbrook, earning the Senior Faculty Award for his academic excellence, artistic contributions, and athletic achievements. A dorm leader, cross-country and track captain, state-recognized vocalist, award-winning theater performer, and editor of the Crane Clarion, Andersen’s talents earned him Cranbrook’s highest honors and the distinguished Morehead-Cain Scholarship to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He went on to build a career in public media, producing for On Point and Fresh Air at NPR, leading audio storytelling at GBH and PBS MASTERPIECE, and serving as senior producer for Harvard Divinity School’s Ministry of Ideas podcast. Andersen is also a founding board member of the podcast collective Hub & Spoke and remains deeply engaged in his local media community in Somerville, Massachusetts. He serves on the committee of Cranbrook’s New England Regional Alumni Network (CRAN).
