Rosemary O’Connor ’10 is the Executive Director of Racquet Up Detroit, a nationally recognized youth development program that uses the sport of squash to promote educational achievement and personal growth. A standout student-athlete and campus leader at Cranbrook, O’Connor captained the Varsity Swim Team, competed on the Varsity Lacrosse and Squash teams, and served on Student Cabinet and Leaders in the Environment. She continued her athletic and academic journey at Wellesley College, earning a degree in psychology while captaining the college’s squash team for all four years and holding numerous leadership roles in wellness and athletics. After joining Racquet Up Detroit as a coach in 2014, O’Connor rose through the ranks—most recently serving as Chief Programs Officer—bringing a rare combination of strategic vision, community commitment, and deep personal investment in the organization’s mission. Now leading an initiative that serves over 160 Detroit youth each week and supports nearly 50 post-secondary graduates, O’Connor embodies the kind of service leadership and sustained impact that Cranbrook seeks to inspire.
