Stephanie Davidson
Class of 2004
Advocate for Survivors, Legal Scholar
Stephanie Davidson ’04 is the Managing Attorney of the Survivor and Family Justice Unit at the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles, where she leads a team providing legal advocacy for domestic violence survivors across Southern California. A recognized authority in the field, Davidson previously taught domestic violence and family law at Harvard Law School and represented survivors in Eastern Massachusetts and New York City. In fall 2023, she returned to Cranbrook to deliver the keynote at the Cum Laude induction ceremony, where she reflected on her path from CK to Columbia and Harvard Law—and on the quiet courage it takes to pursue a life of impact. Sharing a formative moment from her early legal career, she described the first time a client turned to her and said, “I feel safe now.” That moment, she told students, became her compass. During her visit, Davidson also engaged with classes and student groups, encouraging students to combine intellectual rigor with compassion in whatever path they pursue. Through her leadership and advocacy, she continues to champion justice and support the rights of vulnerable communities.
