About the Program

HUB operates a 12-month program that is divided into two phases: a six-week summer residential phase, and a Saturday winter phase during the academic year.
HUB participants meet at Cranbrook Schools in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan for both phases.

SUMMER PHASE
During the summer, all students are enrolled in an intensive, college preparatory curriculum, which requires them to take the core classes of English, math, science, and a world language. Students also participate in extra curricular activities that include cultural enrichment, leadership development, life skills, health and wellness, athletics and more.

WINTER PHASE
During the academic year, HUB meets on 24 selected Saturdays between September and May from 8:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. at Cranbrook. These sessions are a continuation of the summer program. Sessions include but are not limited to academic skills, one-on-one tutoring, counseling, college/career guidance, preparation for the ACT and SAT, life skills and more.
