Model UN Team Brings Home Awards from United Nations Conference
Cranbrook Schools Model United Nations Team brought home multiple awards for their achievements during the University of Chicago United Nations Conference.
Nearly 3000 students from 125 high schools across the globe were in attendance at this premiere national MUN meet. The event took place during the first week of February at the Palmer House Hotel in downtown Chicago, Illinois.
Cranbrook represented the country of Egypt on most committees as well as special committees of the U.S. Senate, the Cabinet of Argentina 1947, the Commission on Women, and the Press Corps. The team debated and passed resolutions on issues such as drug trafficking, female empowerment, the disposal of nuclear waste, global terrorism, and curbing greenhouse emissions.
