On a spectacular July 30 evening, nearly 80 Cranbrook Kingswood alumni, parents of alumni, and friends gathered at the gracious lakeside home of Art Kleinpell ’73 and Susan Stoner Kleinpell ’72 for our annual Northern Michigan Summer Soirée. Along with the next generation, daughter Mary Kleinpell Martella '98 and Christopher Martella '97 and granddaughter Helen '38, the generations were well represented. The group generously welcomed guests to their beautiful home overlooking the sparkling shores of Lake Michigan.
Guests enjoyed an evening of connection and conversation, bringing together members of the Cranbrook Kingswood community across generations. The gathering was a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with old friends, make new connections, and celebrate the enduring relationships that make the Cranbrook community so special.
The evening was marked by gratitude - for the friendships formed at Cranbrook, the generosity of alumni and friends, and the shared commitment to supporting the Schools and their enduring mission. School updates were shared by Director of Schools Jeff Suzik and CEC President Aimeclaire Roche shared a community update. We are grateful to the Kleinpells for opening their home and helping make this year’s Northern Michigan Summer Soirée such a memorable evening.
