Amanda Fox ’92 Speaks with Feminist Movement Club Students
The Feminist Movement Club recently welcomed Amanda Fox ’92 for a virtual conversation with students about communications, advocacy, media, and social change. Amanda shared insights from her wide-ranging career in journalism and strategic communications, including her work with organizations focused on human rights, women’s equality, and public interest campaigns.
Currently Director of Strategic Communications, North America for the American University of Beirut, Amanda encouraged students to become involved with organizations working for change at both the local and global level, sharing examples from her own involvement with advocacy and social justice initiatives. She also spoke candidly about the importance of storytelling, message development, and using communication as a tool for impact.
Students had the opportunity to ask questions about career paths, media strategy, and the challenges and rewards of working in mission-driven organizations. The club was grateful for Amanda’s thoughtful reflections and for the chance to connect with an alumna whose work continues to advance important conversations around equity and social justice.
