Cranes soar past Mustangs in CHSL Dual Match
The Lady Crane Golf Team traveled to Cracklewood Golf Course in Macomb Township Friday afternoon to tee it in a CHSL match vs Lutheran North HS. Both programs have been regular contenders for State Titles in recent years. The Cranes proved to be a little too strong for the Mustangs as they ran away with a 27 stroke victory over the young North team.
The Cranes were led by Senior captain Sydney Behnke and Sophomore Sixtine Charnelet who tied at 38 and shared medalist honors.
Seniors Alina Yuan (45) and Ava Kouza (46) wrapped up the team scoring in the Play 6 / Count 4 format.
Junior Transfer Maddie Anderson (48) and Freshman Alaina Tato (51) playing in their first event as a Crane overcame some early nerves and hit several nice shots down the finishing holes.
