Alumni vs. Varsity Soccer Game 2026
On Friday, August14, Cranbrook Soccer alumni gathered at the Lower Fields to don their shin guards and cleats in the late summer evening for their traditional game against the varsity squad.
The annual scrimmage attracted a large generationally mixed crowd of onlookers and players to witness the face-off between the current Cranbrook Varsity Soccer Team and their whooping 25 alumni elders, along with their venerable honorary coach, Charlie Shaw. The final score was 3-3 (depending on who you talk to), although rumor has it that a controversial last-minute goal could have tipped the Varsity boys into the lead. However the game may present, the feast following was undeniably conquered by all.
