An Evening with Entrepreneurs at TechTown Detroit

Ideas, connections, and new ventures took center stage at TechTown Detroit on February 24, as alumni entrepreneurs and innovators gathered for the Entrepreneurship Panel & Networking event.
Co-hosted by the Cranbrook Kingswood Alumni Association in collaboration with Detroit Country Day School, The Roeper School, and University Liggett School, the evening brought together founders, investors, creatives, and professionals from across the region’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
The program opened with a moderated panel exploring the realities of launching and scaling ventures—offering candid insights on risk, resilience, and opportunity—before transitioning into a lively networking reception where conversations continued and new connections took shape. The event drew young alumni like Monica Rodriguez '07, who is doing innovative work in the urban education sector, and Seneen Meroueh '15 who is getting ready to launch her own brand of barbeque sauce.

Special thanks to moderator Ian Perkins ’05 and panelist Jason Eddleston ’95 for sharing their perspectives and helping to anchor the discussion in real-world experience.

Events like this underscore the strength of the Cranbrook alumni network—and its ability to connect people across industries, spark collaboration, and create meaningful opportunities within Detroit’s growing entrepreneurial landscape.
