Alexi Lalas Visiting Cranbrook on way to Hall of Fame

Alexi Lalas CK'88 will greet students and alumni at the Cranbrook dining hall on Friday, February 28th at noon. The CK soccer standout will be inducted into the Michigan Athletic Hall of Fame later that evening.
Alexi's former soccer coach and mentor, Charlie Shaw writes:
Please join me in welcoming Alexi Lalas, ’88, back to Cranbrook. Alexi is back in Michigan to be inducted into the Michigan Athletic Hall of Fame on Friday evening. He will be in the Cranbrook Dining Hall at noon to welcome all. Alexi was captain of both the soccer and the State Championship-winning hockey team. He is in the US Soccer Hall of Fame, winner of the Herman Award, played on two US Olympic teams and the national team, and was the first American ever to play in the Italian Premiere League. While at CK, Alexi was also a Mastersinger and a winner of the Talent Show. Alexi had a prominent career in the Major League of Soccer of America and is now a full-time broadcaster for ESPN and ABC sports.
