The weekend brought together members of the Classes of 1951, 1956, 1961, 1966, 1971, 1976, 1981, 1986, 1991, 1996, 2001, 2006, 2011, 2016, and 2021 for three days of events, conversations, and celebrations across campus.
Friday evening set the tone for the weekend as Golden Graduates gathered under the tents on the Cranbrook Quad for dinner and conversation. Even a passing downpour could not dampen the enthusiasm of classmates who were simply happy to be together again, sharing stories and laughter decades after their time as students. Nearby, the Class of 1976 celebrated its 50th Reunion in the Cranbrook Dining Hall, while alumni from more recent milestone classes gathered at Kingswood Auditorium to reconnect and reminisce. Across campus, classmates picked up conversations as though no time had passed, sharing memories and celebrating friendships that have endured for decades.
Saturday featured a full day of activities, including campus tours, networking opportunities, and special presentations. Alumni explored topics ranging from the future of Cranbrook's residential spaces to the restoration of historic campus landmarks, reflecting the community's shared interest in preserving and strengthening the school for future generations. One of the weekend's highlights was the Alumni Assembly and Distinguished Alumni Award Presentation honoring Molly Miller Jahn '76 and Mark Davidson '86. Their remarks reflected on the lasting impact of Cranbrook and the role it played in shaping their lives and careers. The celebration was made even more meaningful by the strong turnout from the Classes of 1976 and 1986 as they celebrated their 50th and 40th reunions.
The weekend also provided opportunities to celebrate the people and traditions that have shaped the Cranbrook Schools experience. Alumni gathered for faculty milestone celebrations honoring longtime educators, a Gallimaufry reunion recognizing Cranbrook's rich literary and artistic traditions, and the Alumni Memorial Service on Sunday morning.
Perhaps most meaningful was the opportunity for alumni to share Cranbrook with their families. Spouses, children, grandchildren, and guests experienced firsthand the campus and community that helped shape generations of graduates. Throughout the weekend, alumni reflected not only on their years as students, but also on the friendships, mentorships, and experiences that continue to connect them to Cranbrook long after graduation.
Thank you to our reunion volunteers, class secretaries, class agents, alumni leaders, faculty, staff, and everyone who helped make Reunion 2026 such a memorable weekend. We look forward to welcoming alumni back to campus for Reunion 2027 on June 11–13.
