Cranes Golfers Win Oakland County Championship
The Lady Crane Golf Team won the Oakland County Championship with a 326 total defeating runner -up Rochester Adams (332) by 6 strokes. The forecast weather called for an All Day rain but the field of players was spared as the heavy precipitation skirted The Par 71 Fieldstone Golf Club.
Standout sophomore Sixtine Charnelet led the Cranes with a score of 76 which was also good for a runner-up
Finish individually - 1 stroke back of tournament medalist County Day Junior Halle Heineman.
Rounding out the scoring for Cranbrook were Junior Josie VandenHaute (82) Seniors Alina Yuan and Sydney Behnke who tied at (84) and Junior Brianna Giudici (88).
This was a statement win for the team as their last Oakland County Championship came in 2021 when they proceeded to win the MHSAA D3 State Championship.
