Cranes finish 2nd in 12 Team Marian “Fieldstone” Invitational

The Cranes Golfers were in action Wednesday morning at Fieldstone GC in Auburn Hills.
12 Teams including MHSAA #1 ranked Northville HS gathered for the Marian Invitational at the challenging Par 72 layout. 
The Cranes playing in the 1st wave teed off in cool blustery conditions along with Northville , Mercy and Country Day. The 4 teams battled it out with the Cranes taking an early 5 stoke lead into the clubhouse.
Macomb Dakota remained on the course as the Cranes could only watch now and hope that their 337 total would be good enough for the victory.
Dakota playing in the 2nd wave finished about an hour behind the 1st wave and posted a 336 total - Good for a 1 stroke victory over the Cranes.
Norhville ended up 3rd with a 342 total.
Individually Halle Heineman (Country Day) and Megan Guerrera (Mercy) were co - medalist at 77.
The Cranes were led by Sydney Behnke and Sixtine Charnelet who tied for 3rd individually with a pair of 78’s.
Josie VandenHaute (89) , Alina Yuan (92) and Maddie Anderson (92) wrapped up the scoring for Cranbrook.
