Windy Conditions Ground Cranes in loss to Country Day

The girls varsity golf team battled very windy conditions this afternoon in their tough loss to Country Day. The Yellow Jackets defeated the Cranes 201 shots to 209 shots over the Par 35 front 9 at Oakland Hills CC North Course. Cranbrook Freshman Katherine Li led all players with a score of 48. Fellow Freshman Natasha Samsanov (50) and Ashley Cong (53) were next best for the Cranes. Sophomore Lydia Cheung wrapped up the team scoring for the Cranes with a 58. The team will get another shot at Country Day in early October when they host the Yellow Jackets in a re-match at Franklin Hills CC. Next action for the golfers will be Tuesday afternoon when they host Mercy in a league match at Stonycroft Hills GC.
