Grosse Pointe South Wins 4-2 in League Game over Cranes

The Cranbrook Kingswood Girls Varsity Hockey team saw the Grosse Pointe South Lady Blue Devils for the first time this season Friday, December 8th. The final score of the game was 4-2 in Grosse Pointe South's Favor. Despite a number of injured players, the Cranes put up an excellent fight after finding themselves in an early 3-0 deficit. 
 
Lilli Sherman scored her first goal of the season in the first period by crashing the net tightening the score 3-1. Grosse Pointe South racked up seven penalties, allowing the Cranes numerous power play opportunitites the were not capitalized on.
 
The score was 4-1 entering the third period. Robin Goldman scored top right shelf on a breakaway to make the score 4-2. 
 
The girls played a heartfelt game and will see Grosse Pointe South again later in the season.
