Continuous Success for the CK Debate Team!

The Cranbrook Debate Team has been on a roll this 2017-18 season! At each of its first four tournaments, Cranbrook has come in first place. This is an unprecedented streak for the team members and coaches, who are very proud of their accomplishments this year.

Details about the team’s successes at the various tournaments are as follows (from most recent to least recent):

Tournament at Groves High School on Saturday, October 28th:
• Ari King and Derrick Zhen: Tournament champions
• Harry Ren: 1st place Speaker Award
• Derrick Zhen: 2nd place Speaker Award
• Ari King: 8th place Speaker Award

Tournament at Okemos High School on Saturday, October 14th:
• Ari King and Derrick Zhen: Tournament champions
• Derrick Zhen: 2nd place Speaker Award
• Ari King: 3rd place Speaker Award
• Justin Luo: 4th place Speaker Award
• Aashray Khanna: 8th place Speaker Award

Tournament at Wayne State University on Saturday, October 7th:
• Theresa Chen and Harry Ren: Tournament champions
• Harry Ren: 1st place Speaker Award
• Theresa Chen: 7th place Speaker Award

Tournament at West Bloomfield High School on Saturday, September 30th:
• Aashray Khanna and Justin Luo: Tournament champions

• Alessandro Loprati: 6th place Speaker Award
