Memorial Service for Ben Snyder (1920-2017)

Starting in 1948 when he came to Cranbrook, Ben Snyder began a career that put him in a variety of roles that included teacher, coach, advisor, mentor, and friend. His work as a history teacher, administrator, founding director of Horizons Upward Bound and his indomitable presence on the Cranbrook campus made him a stand out in the memories of many alumni across more than six decades. Ben's life will be celebrated on campus on Saturday, September 23 with a memorial service with his family at Christ Church Cranbrook. There will be a visitation in the Christ Church Guild Hall at 9:00 AM followed by the memorial service in the church at 10:00 AM. The service will be followed with a reception at the Cranbrook dining hall. For a letter from the Snyder family, click here.
