CK Boys Swim/Dive Team Wins 4th Consecutive State Championship!

The Cranbrook-Kingswood Boys Swim/Dive Team was awarded the state title for the fourth consecutive year, due to its outstanding performance at the 2017 Division 3 Swimming and Diving State Finals. The big win took place on Saturday, March 11th at the Holland Aquatic Center.

The team's overall score of 268 resulted in their victory against the second-place East Grand Rapids Pioneers and third-place Holland Christian Maroons. Although this victory is a testament to the team's talents and dedication, there were some pre-meet jitters about the competition's outcome. Senior captain Eric Youshao remarked that "We [the team] came into this meet really uncertain if we were going to win or not. When we finally found out we had won, it was just a feeling of excitement and relief."

Those feelings are shared by the rest of his teammates, and particularly those who have been a part of all four state championship teams. "It's just an unreal feeling and we couldn't do it without all the support from our coaches, parents and teammates," he said. "It's not just the winning, but who you win with. I wouldn't want to win with any other group of guys."

The full story of the team’s victory can be found here.

Congratulations to the swim team for such an incredible achievement! Go Cranes!
