Alumni Serve as Career Mentors

Despite a few bumps in the road presented by snow and ice, the CKAA hosted a rescheduled career fair for CK juniors and seniors at Kingswood on March 1. More than 60 alumni volunteers from a wide range of graduation years, backgrounds and fields took time to dialogue students that night. Students took advantage of this unique opportunity to learn more about ways in which our alumni have leveraged their skills and talents, from entrepreneurial start ups to careers at well-known companies, such as Bosch, General Motors, Snapchat, Thompson Reuters, Tik Tok and more. In addition to one-on-one sessions with individual career mentors, students participated in ongoing interviewing skills workshops led experienced HR professional Sue Sun Lasovage, which were well received, as seniors are currently interviewing for Senior May Project opportunities. Following the career fair, alumni gathered off campus for a professional networking event at Eddie Merlot’s.
