The final game of the Tournament, ended with Cranbrook taking home the Bronze in a shootout with Troy United 🏒 Starting the first, Cranbrook had the upper hand on shots on net, however were down one by 6:22.  Before the end of the peroid with 7 seconds to go, Timko tied up the game with a beautiful shot to the top of the net⚡️Goalie Gracie Sui, kept knocking down the shots taken💪🏼  At 6:25 in the 2nd, with assist from Ameera Patel, Timko got the lead for Cranbrook.  Cranbrook kept battling to keep the lead and at 10:52 in 3rd, a sweet goal by Timko with assist by Ella Lantigua to give a 2 pt lead.  However, by the end of the 3rd, the score was tied again.
The game would be determined by a 3 person shoot out.  With Sui in goal, coming from Friday nights shoot out, she had her stance in the goal as someone who has played for years with determination to shut them out. Sui shut down the first shot by Troy with a brilliant slide kick.  Ella Lantigua went first for Cranbrook, sweeping out wide & tried for her secret back hand however the goalie got a piece of it.   Troy’s Captain #17 was able to get past Sui for a 1-0 lead.  Captain, Anna Timko followed, going with her sweet top of the net shot making it a 1-1 tie.  The pressure built as Sui shuts down the next shooter for Troy.  It was all on Lela Lantigua…with confidence she skates toward the net, she tries for a back hand shot too and this time it gets sunk…Cranbrook wins the bronze🏆
For MVP of the game, Ella Lantigua receives the very well deserved award✨  All of the girls played with determination during this weekends tournament🫶🏼
Looking forward to meeting up with Washtenaw on Tuesday @ Cranbrook🏒
