The Horizons-Upward Bound (HUB) program at Cranbrook Educational Community prepares students with limited opportunities from the Detroit Metropolitan area to enter and succeed in post-secondary education. We academically support the efforts of the students’ home school by providing services that assist students in pursuing and achieving their dreams and goals for their academic endeavors and beyond.

It is comprised of a residential summer (six weeks) and an academic year (three Saturdays a month) program. The goal is to prepare low-income, potential first-generation college students by honing the academic skills that will allow them to persist in secondary and post-secondary education.

HUB is...

HUB is one of the oldest and largest programs of its kind in the nation.
