Cranbrook Day Camp (boys, grades 2-9)
Our campers enjoy a rotating schedule of activities throughout the week that include arts & crafts, science, reading, basketball, lacrosse, soccer, swimming*, and various other indoor and outdoor activities. Campers may choose to attend field trips during the middle four weeks of camp. Field trips include C.J. Barrymore's
, bowling, water park, Cranbrook Institute of Science
, as well as other exciting trips. Two evenings during the summer, boys ages 9+ are offered a late night off-campus activity of dinner, laser tag, and a stop at an ice cream shop. Counselors are trained to administer, participate, and be cognoscente of the campers' daily experiences. Cranbrook Day Camp offers a wonderful opportunity for boys to act and learn to react in different social settings and situations. Our camp motto, chanted each morning, is "Being Kind, Show Respect, and Achieve Good Character."
Field Trips and Late Nights will be added to the registration portal for purchasing in April. Registered families will be notified when available.Kingswood Day Camp (girls, grades 2-9)
Our campers are able to explore Cranbrook's 319-acre campus of playing fields, woods, rivers, lakes, and gardens. Our campers enjoy traditional camp activities such as swimming*, sports, crafts, drama, arts, yoga, dance and science. Kingswood gears its program toward activities that are designed to develop age appropriate and individualized skills. Throughout the summer, we offer off campus field trips and outdoor entertainment. The campers are placed in groups with a counselor who takes them to and from their activities. There are 12 groups which have 8-10 campers in each group. Activies such as archery, canoeing, and tennis provide opportunities for growth and emphasize cooperative team efforts. At Kingswood, diversity is celebrated and personal talents are nurtured by exploring a wide variety of unique cultural, educational, and enrichment activities. It is a wonderful time for all the campers to come and have fun together. We look forward to seeing you at Kingswood!
