Spirit Week brought hundreds of alumni, parents, faculty, and students to campus to celebrate Cranbrook Schools’ athletics under the lights. On Wednesday, CK Soccer took on Lutheran North in a close game ending in a 1-2 loss. Thursday, the CK Field Hockey team beat Edsel Ford with a hearty X-X win. Powder Puff dominated the Oval first on Friday where the senior girls defeated the juniors in a hard-fought contest. The varsity football team got inspiration from Honorary Team Captain Rick Williams ’59, who was on hand to do the coin toss at their “Friday Night Lights” game against Ann Arbor’s Father Gabriel Richard. While the game ended with loss, the team played with heart from start to finish and were supported by a legion of cheering fans and music from Mark Hourigan and the Cranbrook band from start to finish. The evening was made complete with food trucks, spirit tents, and a donor and volunteer appreciation tailgate that drew fans from all segments of our community.
Thank you to all those who attended and to those who could not be on campus, please join us for next year’s Homecoming events.
