USA Wins Gold, Scane Named to All-World Team!

From US Lacrosse:
Four years after Canada stunned the U.S. in Scotland, the Americans left little doubt in reclaiming their spot at No. 1 in the world, dethroning the host Canadians with a 13-3 victory in the World Lacrosse Women’s U19 World Championship final Saturday in Peterborough, Ontario. Isabelle Scane picked up her second Player of the Match title for the Gold Medal game.

Team USA swept the international competition, winning all seven games it played by a combined margin of 128-20. Attackers Caitlyn Wurzburger and Izzy Scane, midfielders Maddie Jenner and Bri Gross and goalie Rachel Hall were named to the All-World team.

More from US Lacrosse here.

CK Alumna Izzy Scane has had quite a year! One of our most accomplished athletes, this time last year, she found out she had been cut from the U19 Women's USA Team. After an outstanding fall season, coach Kelly Amonte Hiller added her to the training roster and Scane did not disappoint. After making it through a rigorous training schedule and two more rounds of cuts, Izzy now finds herself days away from the opening ceremonies for the World Lacrosse Championships. The games run from August 1-10 and will be held in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada.
