Twenty-First Century Club Honors Bobbi and Stephen Polk
The Twenty-First Century Club (TFCC) members of Cranbrook Schools’ Annual Fund paid special tribute to Bobbi and Stephen Polk for their long-time volunteerism and philanthropic support to Cranbrook Schools. The holiday reception, held at the home of current parents Patti and Jim Prowse on Dec. 8, 2005 attracted more than 100 members who celebrated the culture of giving at Cranbrook Schools.
The event, chaired by Annie and Bruce Margulis, C’73, along with host committee members Velva and Jeff Clark; Helen and Jim Holmes, Sr.; Linda and Andy Jacob; Tracey and Albert Papa and Shari and Jim Vlasic –all were in attendance to express their appreciation to the Polks.
Director of Schools Arlyce Seibert presented the Polks with a Cranbrook Schools chair and shared many memories of Bobbi chairing or volunteering her time on projects. Bobbi has been active since 1988 and currently chairs the Upper School Parent group for the Annual Fund. In addition, she is a library volunteer at Brookside and a steering committee member for Brookside’s Kaleidoscope auction. Recently, the Polks made a leadership gift to the Boys’ Middle School project.
As the Polks said that evening, “We do it because of the wonderful people involved in the projects.”
