Cranbrook understands and embraces this most dynamic period change in a young adolescent's life by providing the ideal solution: a single-gender educational setting for boys and girls. By offerring a unique, tailor-made program, we are able to effectively meet the needs of middle school boys and girls who differ in learning styles and social behavior during these critical growth years. In a safe, comfortable setting, students are encouraged to engage in academics, take healthy risks, set high goals, build self-confidence, and become leaders. This way, the focus remains on what is truly important: a challenging, comprehensive education which results in opportunities that last a lifetime.

Unified Curriculum
We are experts in single-gender education. We have always taught boys and girls separately at the middle school level. Our rigorous middle school curriculum develops critical thinking, English and foreign language skills, appreciation of art and literature, and math and science mastery, within an interactive learning environment where each child will feel encouraged and supported.

Teachers Who Inspire
At the middle school, our teachers not only want to teach—they want to teach this age group. They understand the distinctive ways boys and girls learn so that in the classroom, they are providing the most up-to-date instruction possible. Beyond sharing their knowledge and expertise, they'll incorporate technology in the classroom so that learning is fun, stimulating, and interactive. The proof that our teachers love what they do: they stay, many for decades.

Our teachers, students, and parents are valued at Cranbrook. You'll treasure the fact that your child is truly happy and excited about learning. That's what happens when you surround students with teachers who are truly inspiring.
