Chicago Alumni Scholarship
Cranbrook alumni living in the Chicago area sponsored this scholarship in appreciation of how their Cranbrook experience has enriched their lives. New boarding students will be selected to receive scholarships on the basis of excellent academic performance, testing, recommendations, special talents, and personal qualities. The top applicant will receive a $20,000 scholarship, and runner-ups will be awarded a $7,500 scholarship. Recipients will continue to be given the Cranbrook Chicago Alumni Scholarship every year until graduation from Cranbrook Schools.
Admission Information Receptions and Scholarship Testing Dates:
DePaul University (Lincoln Park Campus) - Student Center, 2250 North Sheffield, Chicago
Saturday November 1, 2014 12:30p.m.-3:00 p.m. (Presentation and Testing)
Downers Grove Marriott
Sunday November 2, 2014 12:30p.m.-3:00 p.m. (Presentation and Testing)
Students who wish to be considered for this scholarship must first apply to Cranbrook Schools. This process requires the following steps:
- Complete the online application form and student questionnaire
- Request transcripts and teacher recommendations from your current school (request forms available on our website)
- Take an admission test - either the SSAT or CTP (the CTP will be administered free of charge at both of the November receptions)
- Come to campus for a tour and interview
The Cranbrook Schools Admissions Office must receive all parts of a student's application by January 31, 2015, for priority consideration. Recipients of the scholarship will be notified by March 10, 2015.
