Boys Varsity Tennis Wins Second Straight State Tennis Championship
The CK Boys Varsity Tennis team has earned their place as winners of the MSHAA Lower Peninsula Division 3 State Tennis championship. The team scored 34 points against Detroit Country Day team’s 33 points, winning the championship title by a margin of one.
Both top-ranked teams faced off on October 15 at the state tournament in Kalamazoo, MI. This tournament marks the second championship the Cranes have won against the Yellowjackets, albeit by a much narrower margin than last year’s (CK’s 38 to DCD’s 30). The narrow margin made this year’s game a particularly gripping event, and the CK team’s victory that much sweeter.
