Cranbrook Schools Senior Awarded Scholar Athlete Award

Cranbrook Schools senior Spencer Keoleian was honored by the Michigan High School Athletic Association. (MHSAA) as a recipient of the 2015-16 Scholar Athlete Award.

Out of more that 1400 nominees, Spencer is one of only 32 seniors across the state of Michigan to receive this honor. The award is sponsered by Farm Bureau Insurance, which has entered its 27th year of providing scholarships to qualifiying seniors who participate in at least one sport which is sponsored by the MHSAA.

Each of the MHSAA Scholar Athletes is honored at halftime cermonies of the Boys Basketball State Championship, which takes place at the Breslin Student Events Center in East Lansing. Commemorative medallions are given to all finalists in recognition of their accomplishments.

Spencer has been a member of the State Runner-Up and Two-Time State Champion Swim and Dive Team and is currently a captain of the Cranes Swim and Dive Team. As a junior, hea also earned Swim and Dive All-State honors in the 50 freestyle and 100 butterfly. Spencer was also a goalie for the Defending State Champion Boys Lacrosse Team.
