Shirley Nuss
From presentations to the local educational community to CNN, Shirley Nuss has shared her knowledge to help teachers and students implement new technologies into their classrooms.

Nuss has been a presenter to Wayne County teachers of gifted and talented on the subject of "Higher Order Thinking," and on "Technology in the Curriculum" to teachers in Milwaukee, Wis. She appeared on CNN in 1991 to discuss a piloted National Geographic telecommunications project. Nuss also attended sessions of Space Camp in Huntsville, Ala. as part of their "Teaching the Future Program" through the University of Alabama.

Nuss came to Cranbrook in 1982, and taught third-grade students for eight years. After receiving her Ph.D. from Michigan State University in Curriculum, Nuss went on to teach computers and multimedia.

In addition to her classroom and curriculum work, Nuss has written scripts and lyrics for Brookside musical productions. She is also an adjunct professor for Michigan State University in their technology certification program and their master's degree program in technology education.
